On a hot summer day in 1981 my wife and I learned that our precious baby daughter was diagnosed with diabetes. For several years we struggled alone, and then she went to Camp Seale Harris. We were very hesitant to leave her there, but finally did. When we returned a few days later to pick her up, she was a different child. She was giving her own insulin shots, she had learned many things about living with diabetes, she had made friends with lots of other children who had diabetes, and perhaps most importantly she had become part of the wonderful Camp Seale Harris Family.  Camp Seale Harris has been a Godsend to us.

 

Southeastern Diabetes Education Services operates Camp Seale Harris and several other programs that teach children how to LIVE WELL with diabetes.   These wonderful programs are made possible because  friends like you care about children and want to help them have healthier, happier lives.
