Running with a Purpose
In Africa, an entire generation is at risk. Each year, several million people die because of AIDS, and there are now over 15 million children who have been orphaned.
Thankfully this is not a hopeless situation. Not if people like us are willing to take positive steps to do something about it.
I have decided to help by teaming up with World Vision at this year's Chicago Marathon. World Vision is a Christian Humanitarian Relief and Development organization dedicated to serving those threatened by poverty and AIDS, and committed to bringing hope back to their communities.
As I am training to run 26.2 miles on October 7, I am also hoping to raise $2600 for World Vision. That comes to $25 per quarter mile in the marathon. Please consider sponsoring me for a quarter mile (or more!) in this effort. I'll need just over 100 sponsors to make my goal.
The fight against the ruthless impact of AIDS and HIV on poverty stricken communities requires a marathon effort. I hope you will join me in running the marathon with World Vision for this worthy cause.
Supporting my efforts is simple - choose one of the following ways:
1) Make an online donation by clicking on the SPONSOR ME NOW button at the bottom of the page - OR -

Thanks for your help! Terry
