On September 19, 2009, our family and friends will be participating in the 8th Annual F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Buddy Walk to raise awareness for Down Syndrome.

The purpose of the Buddy Walk is to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to raise funds for local and national education, research and advocacy programs.

As most of you know my grandaughter Lily was born in 2007 with Down Syndrome. Since Lily's birth her family has become a part of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S.  support group for families of children with Down Syndrome.  They have met lots of great people who have been through some of the same challenges and joys they now face in raising a child with Down Syndrome. Lily has learned many new things during this last year and we are all proud of her.

Your generous donation will go to F.R.I.E.N.D.S. as we continue our mission to help families of children with Down Syndrome.
