On a beautiful Monday morning, Sept. 13,  seven of us set out from Thompsonville in Benzie County near Traverse City, MI to raise money for MCWC. We rode to Beulah on the Betsie Valley Trail.  We stopped for lunch in Beulah and six of us continued on to Elberta.  Three jumped in canoes at the Bestie River and paddled about two hours to meet the others in the park for a delicious catered meal provided by Suz McLaughlin.  I rode a total of 20 miles that  beautiful sunny day.

The good news is, Peggy Case and Jeanne Peters, who joined my team, and I have  reached our fundraising target of $2,000. The three of us have raised $2,005.00 with money still coming in.

It is not too late to help us go farther over our goal.. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 31, 2010.
