Sixteen years ago today, I got the best birthday present I've ever received.
On March 27, 1993, my brother took me to the Dallas SPCA, and I came home with Morgan. The picture at left was taken on last year's birthday, 4/2/2008.

Celebrate 11 Years of CAT!
The Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest nonprofit, feline-only shelter. CAT was the first animal shelter in Oregon with its own full service veterinary hospital on site. CAT’s mission is to work with the community to save the lives of unwanted, homeless, sick, and injured cats and kittens by offering shelter, adoption, foster, hospice, spay/neuter, and veterinary services to end needless feline euthanasia. CAT will find homes for over 3,250 felines this year. As a 501(c)(3) publicly-supported charity, CAT relies on the generous support of the public and volunteers.
On May 10, 2009, the Cat Adoption Team will celebrate its 11th Anniversary and eleven years of care for the community’s homeless, unwanted, sick, or injured cats and kittens. Read more about CAT’s history.

- $11 will pay to test one cat for feline leukemia and feline aids
- $22 will help stock a “kitten baby bag” for a foster family
- $55 will neuter five male cats through our subsidized program for families in financial need
- $110 will vaccinate and spay two female cats to keep them healthy and prevent the birth of unwanted kittens
