Last year, the Purple Monkeys raced and raised money in honor of our good friend, Jack Williamson.  Jack was battling recurrent neuroblastoma.  Right after Lauren's Run, our good friend passed away.  We miss Jack - his smile and his laugh.  He was an incredibly strong boy - and so brave.  He fought cancer for a long time and with all he had.  But in the end, the cancer took Jack from this earth.  We are sure the world will never be the same!!

Brandon was diagnosed with the same kind of cancer as Jack back in 2001.  Of course, we are so thankful Brandon survived. But we wonder - why was Brandon so lucky to have survived and Jack had to fight so hard only to lose his life to the cancer?  Why? 

We are raising money this year to help scientists try to understand the answer to that question. If they knew why some kids survive while others die, they could develop treatment for those who now are dying.  We have a BIG goal this year - and the ONLY WAY we can meet it is if you not only join our team and donate yourselves, but you ASK everyone you know to donate too. They don't have to donate a lot!  Small donations from a lot of people add up.  But we need your help. We can't do it alone.  Please help us in memory of Jack.  He will never ever be forgotten.
