Thanks for visiting our fund raising page for the 30 Hour Famine!

On February 23rd-24th, our youth group hopes to "Starve Hunger" by fasting for 30 hours on behalf of children in desperate need.  The funds we raise will help children in nations such as Mali, Ethiopia, and Kenya where your donation will help provide support such as nutrition assistance, emergency food and farming assistance, and clean water.   With your help, World Vision will continue to work in all 23 countries affected by the food crisis including the United States.  Why are we doing this?  Because hunger is one of the world's most preventable problems, yet 29,000 children die every day from hunger and hunger-related diseases.  Every three seconds a child dies because he or she was malnourished or susceptible to disease.

The CCCNJ Youth Group has raised over $36,000 in the 30 Hour Famine throughout the years.  We've set up this site so that we can add to that in a way that will be simple, fast, and secure for adults using a credit card.

In famine-ravaged nations such as Zimbabwe and Sudan $30 will feed and care for a child for one month, $90 will feed and care for a child for three months, and $360 will feed and care for one child for an entire year.  Thank you for joining us in the fight against world hunger!
