HURRICANE KATRINA EMERGENCY
The photo you see was taken today at The Cooperative Feeding Program's Emergency Pantry at 10am, Thursday, August 25th, 2005. OUR SHELVES ARE EMPTY.
Our Emergency Pantry manager, Penny Loughan, holds the last of a few cans of food that we have left. As I came upstairs there were 15 drenched people huddled into the stairwell waiting for food. We are reducing rations. WE NEED TO BUY SOME FOOD.
PLEASE HELP. NOW. Even a few dollars will help us with some peanut butter and tuna fish and bottled water. We need to buy the food TODAY and replenish our shelves for the coming week. My staff is amazing and we will stay operating as long as we can...
PLEASE give us a hand. NOW. We are so grateful for your caring and sharing.
