We are Matt & Theresa Merriam, our Princess (Taylor) was diagnosed with a seizure disorder almost FOUR years ago. It has been a rollercoaster for us but God has carried us through! We are surrounded with loving family and friends and that includes the amazing staff at EACF & Dr. Davis and staff!

We are doing this walk to raise awareness for all people living with a seizure disorder.

I am blessed that my insurance covers what we need, but not everyone is so fortunate. Just one of my daughter's medications is $300 (for a single dose), I can't imagine what I would do if I could not afford to give my child her medication. I love that there is an organization like the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida that helps parents with those needs and many more. I have had the great pleasure of getting to know the people at the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, and they are just angels sent from God!!!

OHH AND JUST A REMINDER ANYONE WHO DONATES SAVE YOUR RECEIPT AND YOU CAN CLAIM IT ON YOUR TAXES FOR THE YEAR!!!!!
HERE IS WHAT YOUR MONEY COULD DO:

$500 send a child to camp
$300 buys an MRI
$100 buys an EEG
$50 pays for someone to see an neurologist
$25 pays for a laboratory test
$10 can give a needy child a bicycle helmet to prevent head injury (the leading cause of epilepsy)
and, just $5 will allow us to mail a Shaken Baby Prevention and Educational video to someone and maybe save a life
