Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Taylor Joy Merriam is fun-loving five-year-old who loves Jesus, princesses,
dancing, and Disney World. She especially loves her mommy and daddy and her
big brother Matthew. And they love her very much. However, she doesn't always
have the stamina for a truly normal life. Nights are especially stressful.
Taylor can have seizures while sleeping and recently, has also started having
breathing problems where she will stop breathing. Taylor's mom and dad lose
sleep just checking on her "one more time" before getting any rest themselves.
Taylor has been approved to receive a service animal through a foundation in
Xenia, Ohio called 4 Paws For Ability (www.4pawsforability.org/), a nonprofit
501c(3) organization that helps families with special needs acquire specially
trained canine service animals.
The family is trying to raise the $13,000 + they need for the 4 Paws
organization to provide a Seizure Alert and Autism Assistance Dog. These dogs
accompany children with autism and epilepsy and their parents, acting as a
safety feature, and as an alarm.
A service dog is trained to comfort Taylor and interrupt certain behaviors when
needed. The dog can be trained to detect an oncoming seizure and alert her
parents, affording them precious time to attend to Taylor's safety. and alerts
Taylor's parents if they are sleeping.
God has provided Taylor with a wonderful group of doctors, therapists, friends,
and family who love and support her every day. But they need help.
Will you be a part of the team?

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on
wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be
faint.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. When making a donation, please put Taylor Merriam in the comments, so that it goes in her fund at 4 Paws.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
