Beazer Buddies for Katie Byrnes Fundraising Page
Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you so much for all the love and support you have given to me over the years.
My Dad told me that this year it will be harder for some people to help us. I understand if you can’t help as much this year, but please try to do what you can.
This year is a very important one for our group, The Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. We finally have our own place, but we also have to pay for it! We don’t want to stop all the wonderful things we are doing in our community just to pay our bills. So please help.
Also, because you all were so generous last year, our group was able to give a good donation to research. Scientists are very close to inventing medicine that will help people with DS learn more easily. Please keep helping so we can help them. They are sooo close!
When I was born 18 years ago, one of the doctors told my mom that I would always be like a five year old! My parents didn’t listen. Instead they worked hard to find ways to help me. Today, thanks to my parents and the DSA support, I am a junior in high school. I am a cheerleader and I dance in a musical called “Angels Among Us”. I also belong to the DSACF teen group.
In the last year I have been a bridesmaid in both of my brothers’ weddings and I went to prom with a very cute boy named Mathew. My mom says I have a better social life than she does.
My goal is to graduate from high school and go to college. I would have never accomplished all of this without the love and support from the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.
Please donate what you can to help us.
Thank you.
Love,
Katie Byrnes
