This is Mariah.  Mariah arrived at the Terre Haute Humane Shelter with a badly fractured leg, she had at least one vertical break and a horizontal break.  It was debated on whether to set her leg or amputate it, but we decided to at least try to fix it before taking drastic measures.  As you can see on her back right leg, they had to attach an external fixator due to the severity of her break. 

We believe Mariah is a Saluki mix.  She's high energy and has not let the bionic leg slow her down.  I'm told she can actually climb a fence with it on! 

The cost for doing this surgery and the follow up visits and meds is expected to be at least $400.
