People ask how I came to choose Special Olympics as *my* charity. It isn't just a sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities but really a catalyst for social change.

What is there for me? It has taught me the power of profound acceptance and reminded not to take things for granted in life.

For the 5th year in a row I am the event fundraiser and given the economy and times like these, that amount of money is not to be taken lightly. It just continues to solidify how much we all recognize how important it is to take care of one another.

I would like to invite you all to join me on Sunday, March 6th at North Avenue Beach. Thanks in advance for your support, and most of all for contributing to this important cause.
