Cancer is the number one disease killer of children. That said, what better way to help treat, heal and cure children fighting this horrible disease than by donating as much as you can.

Last years Be Brave and Shave event set the bar for all fundraising events in the area. It still continues to amaze me just how generous you were . I am hoping this year will be an even stronger turnout. 

The Montgomery County Police Department has decided to challenge us to a fundraising contest. They believe, fool-heartedly I might add, that they have a more generous community than we do; I beg to differ folks.

I met an incredible little boy last year while touring Children's National Medical Center in Falls Church. Carson, who is 4 yrs old, suffers from Leukemia. He didn't say much when I approached him and shook his hand, but I knew he was someone special. He is so courageous and represents what this is all about.  I consider him a good friend and a huge part of my life.
