Bryson's Bunch
This team was formed as a way to honor our son Bryson Elzey. As a family who has been directly affected by the diagnosis of pediatric cancer we know how important it is to support such a wonderful foundation as The Brain Tumor Foundation for Children. We sincerely hope that you will consider making a donation to support this wonderful cause in honor of Bryson.
Our journey began on Sunday, August 31, 2008. After spending a long night in 2 ER's a CT scan revealed that Bryson had a bleed on his brain caused by a tumor. He was immediately life flighted to Scottish Rite where a procedure was performed to relieve the pressure until the tumor could be removed.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2008 an 85% resection of the tumor was succesful. On Thursday, September 11, 2008 we received the diagnosis of Glioblastoma (GBM) along with a 2 year treatment plan to prevent the tumor from growing and coming back. To date Bryson has endured 8 surgerys related to his diagnosis and has faced several new challenges since his diagnosis.
Bryson is such a strong child and has already proven to be a fighter in so many ways. After much prayer we are certain that God will use Bryson in many ways to be a positive impact on other's. Above all we are BLESSED!
