Dear Family and Friends
As many of you are aware, April is Autism Awareness Month and we are participating in the TACA (Talk About Curing Autism) Friends and Family Fundraising Campaign. To everyone that made donations to TACA last year we thank you and appreciate the support. For those who have not donated in the past, please consider a donation this year! TACA is dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting families that are affected by autism. For families who have just received an autism diagnosis, TACA aims to speed up the time from the diagnosis to finding effective treatments.
Andrew was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. It was difficult to accept that we were now looking down a very long and difficult road in raising a child that may never talk, may never understand how old he is or what a birthday is. The autism journey is filled with so much uncertainty but slowly we are making headway on this road to recovery! After we attended our first chapter meeting we knew that this was the right place for us to be and that this organization was going to help us on our journey. TACA quickly became that ray of hope we'd been looking for. TACA has introduced us to many great professionals and given us a wealth of knowledge to go along with it.
Autism is treatable and kids do get better with a lot of hard work and dedication from many people! Through your donations, TACA will be able to continue providing support to more families like ours that are affected by autism. Please consider donating today!!
If you'd like to learn more about autism and TACA, please visit the TACA website by going to www.tacanow.org.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
