It's that time of the year again and I am visiting you in hopes that you will sponsor me in the walk for a cure for Huntington's Disease coming up on September 29th.

There has been some exciting news recently about research that has turned up a medicine that is successful in reversing the devastating effects of this disease. It has been proven in mouse and primate tests and in time will be brought to human subjects.

I am particulary excited with this news, being a gene positive person myself with the onset of this disease looming in my future. This news brings hope that I may have a chance at avoiding the disabling effects that my Mother and Grandmother suffered at the end of their lives.
