Buffalo's 12th Man Fundraising Page
**Thanks to Bills fans and football fans across the country, we have smashed our goal of $2,500! I wish I could personally thank every person who has made a donation and passed this information along to their friends and family. This is an amazing outpouring of support for the Buffalo Bills and greater WNY community, and thanks to everyone's efforts, this campaign has turned into something truly special. I hesitate to put a new goal given how generous everyone has already been, but I am going to raise it to $5,000 just so people know they can still donate. Thanks again! Go Bills!**
The Bills organization has been a cornerstone of the Buffalo Community for fifty years. Through thick and thin, they have supported the community and the community has supported them.
This week, that relationship got a black eye from some "fans" who crossed a line and violated the trust between players and the community. But one or two bad apples are certainly not representative of the bunch.
As a show of support for our player and our team, we are collecting money to donate to Kids Escaping Drugs, a Western New York organization that Leodis McKelvin has been involved with since his start with the Bills. The group provides support and outreach for young people in the area who are trying to battle addictions to drugs/ alcohol.
Take a look at what Leodis had to say about the program on BuffaloBills.com.
Let's take a negative situation and turn it into a positive. The team battled hard in their opening week and showed a courage and toughness that opened eyes across the country. Let's show the team the respect they deserve and do our part to make sure everyone knows there is no greater sports town than Buffalo, New York. After all, nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills...
(Please note this effort is not affiliated with the Bills organization, just an ardent group of fans looking for a silver lining. Special thanks to the folks at BuffaloRumblings.com for taking this effort and running with it!)
