Hello. My name is Tim Shaw and I am doing the polar plunge for the first time! Will you help me raise money to support the Special Olympics?

My daughter, Katie, is 26 years old and has participated as a Special Olympics athlete for about fifteen years. Over the years, she has competed in basketball, track and field, softball, golf, volleyball, flag football and bowling. Her favorite sport is basketball. I am also a member of the Knights of Columbus and our council has two brother knights who participate in Special Olympics. As the father of a Special Olympian, I have witnessed first-hand for many years the positive impact that Special Olympics has on the individuals who participate and their families.

Special Olympics not only gives special needs people a venue to play sports and get exercise, who otherwise wouldn’t have that opportunity, but Special Olympics also gives them dignity, hope and pride in themselves. Please help my Knights of Columbus team support my daughter, my brother knights and all of the Special Olympians in Indiana. Thank you.
