Listen, here's the scoop - we know the state of the economy and we know people are tightening their belts. That’s why this is such a great fundraiser for this time, in this moment. The combined forces of all our friends, family and professional associates could easily put us over our fundraising goal with gifts of just $5. Think about it. That’s a cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal from Starbucks, or the cost of downloading five songs from iTunes. Could you give that up if it meant you could make a life-transforming difference in the life of a child – give them a moment of magic that just might change their life? Could you give more? We believe you would.
Tracy Lee and I can attest to the impact – while we were in Michigan we became mentors to a young man in Bay City. We were there for Shawn’s first camping trip, first pumpkin carving, first s’more and first hockey game. We’ve been to school plays and art shows, and shared laughs over pizza and movies. We’ve seen his school work and his confidence improve. Big Brothers and Big Sisters really do have a positive impact.
Besides making a financial commitment, another way you can support us is to form a team of your own. Think of all your contacts and the impact you could have if each of them gave $5.
We know these are difficult times, and that’s why we’re not asking for $25 or $100, though you’re welcome to make a contribution in that amount, or more, if you are able – but there is real power to make a big impact when we band together as friends, as neighbors, as family in support of our community and its youth. If everyone helps a LITTLE we can make a BIG impact.
Please consider making a secure online donation today. If you prefer, you also can send a check (made payable to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flathead County) to our home.
Our family hopes you see the value in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters and we hope you’ll join our team and help bring the life-transforming power of a Big Brothers Big Sisters match to even more youth.
Sincerely,
Tim, Tracy Lee, Ainsley, Arabella and Asher
P.S. This is our seventh Bowl for Kids’ Sake since 2006, when Tracy Lee and I first connected with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Our friends, family and colleagues have donated about $4,500 to support the organization's life transforming mentoring programs. THANK YOU!
