Hi family & friends,

As some of you may already know I have been fortunate enough to become part of an unbelievable organization called City of Dreams.  The organization was created to help youth, living in low income housing in the San Francisco Bay area, build brighter futures through mentorship and youth development.

Thursday March 1st I will be bowling at our 7th annual Bowl for the Kids event in memory of a former City of Dreams youth, Marcus Law who was shot and killed.  Marcus was a straight A student and was building a promising future on the basketball court before he was taken from us too soon on the eve of April 30th, 2006.

A couple of noteworthy stats from City of Dreams:

1) 98% have stayed in school
2) 98% have avoided teen pregnancy
3) 96% have stayed away from gangs and violence
4) 92% have stayed free of drugs and alcohol
 

With your help the success of City of Dreams will continue!

I work with a very bright young man named Kierre (brown hoodie).  He is 10 years old and in the 5th grade.  He loves to play sports but his talents don't stop there.  He captivates audiences by sharing his passion for spoken word and story telling!  He has a great attitude and understands already that he needs to work hard in order to have options and opportunities for himself later in life.

Sometimes the most difficult part of donating is finding a worthy cause.  I can assure you that if you make a donation to City of Dreams you will have a direct, and immediate impact on some of THE MOST DESERVING youth in the bay area.

Remember many employers double your donations so check before you donate.  If your employer doesn't double donations and you would like your donation doubled,  contact me so I can position your donation with a company that will double it!  And someone reminded me this week that nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something!  Any and all donations are so greatly appreciated.
