I have been been a Coach of the Forsyth County Special Olympics Swim Team for about 11 years and I have had the privilege of working with the most amazing, accomplished, determined, and loving athletes you can ever imagine. They inspire me to work harder, reach further, and give more of myself.
SO: I will be Freezin' for a Reason....to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Forsyth County. This is my 2nd year jumping and I vacillate between being very excited and wondering "what the heck am I getting into".
Forsyth County has the 3rd largest program in the state of North Carolina with over 1,400 athletes training and competiting in 14 different Olympic-style sports year-round and NC program is second in size in the USA only behind NY.
It is through fundraisers like the Polar Plunge that we are able to offer the athletes of Special Olympics the opportunities to showcase their talents, develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and share their gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Thank you for supporting me and Special Olympics. Please come out on February 25th to watch the fun as over 100 jumpers Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, at the Kernersville YMCA.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Thanks so much!!!!!!!
Tim
