2011 NYC Run/Walk for PF
Pulmonary Fibrosis is a fatal lung disease that takes the lives of approximately 40,000 people each year (the same number as breast cancer). PF can strike anyone. There is no cure, no FDA approved treatment and the only solution is a lung transplant.
In honor of my mother, Rose Nostro, my family is joining a fundraising event to help raise awareness of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Pulmonary Fibrosis is a lung disease that has no cause and no cure, it's victims are slowly suffocating. Watching my mom struggle for every breath was heartbreaking and knowing nothing could be done for her left my family feeling helpless. It is my hope and prayer that we may be able to offer hope to those suffering with this disease.
Your donation will help patients and their families who are trying to cope with this disease, raise awareness, as well as bring us closer to a cure. Any donation is appreciated! Thank you for your support.
We miss you mom and love you forever!!!
Please join us on Saturday, May 21st at 10 a.m. in NYC’s Central Park. Save the date, and stay tuned for details, as we set out to further increase awareness of Pulmonary Fibrosis and take another step toward finding a cure, or please consider making a contribution to the CPF in the name of our event (www.coalitionforpf.org).
Thank you all for your support,
The Family of Rose Nostro
