3rd Annual Walk for Diane for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer
I remember my mom telling me that the first time she ever truly felt like a breast cancer survivor was right after she finished treatment the first time, when a friend took her to the "Race for the Cure". She saw all the women with the pink hats (indicating that they were survivors) and instantly realized that she, too, deserved one of those hats, and walked in it with pride.
These walks don't just raise money, but also show solidarity with those fighting this horrible disease. It gives survivors hope that there will one day be a cure because so many people are helping to make it happen. It gives newly diagnosed women hope that their disease was caught early enough to be curable. My mom was the bravest and most optomistic woman I will ever know, and walks such as these helped her positive attitude grow, as she saw so many in support of the cause.
Please walk with us to honor the women who have been lost to breast cancer, and to give hope to those who are newly diagnosed. Help us raise money to catch this disease in the earliest, most curable, stages, and to provide follow-up diagnostic testing to those whose mammograms are positive!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
