My name is Christina Lia Spangler and I have Down syndrome.  Welcome to my Buddy Walk Page for 2007!  I will be four years old in February and have already accomplished quite a bit.  This year I taught myself how to whistle after listening to Mommy and Daddy do it around the house.  (Ms. Mary, my teacher at the Y, says she can't even whistle!) Although I know many signs (American Sign Language) I am anxious to learn how to speak with my voice more.   I teach my friends at the YWCA signs when we have show-and-tell.  I also ride the school bus to my special ed pre-school at Canadochly Elementary School.  My favorite pastimes are painting, reading, dancing, listening to music, and blowing bubbles.
