RUN FOR DANIELLE
This year marks the 29th year for the BRIGGS AL'S RUN & WALK FOR CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. As I run the 8k route for the 10th consecutive year, I ask for your support this year to "PLEDGE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE" of Danielle Yanke from West Bend.
Danielle diagnosed with cancer just before graduation from high school on June 10th. She has gone through surgery and is now undergoing chemothrapy treatments. She now sports a pink PACKER HAT and says she doesn't mind being her dad's brown headed beauty.
She is a very active multi talented eighteen (18) year old girl with a love for life and an inspiration to all who know her. In her years at Kewaskum High school she was a soccer star playing midfield, receiving no less 2nd team all conference recognition in her sophmore year and honorable mention in her senior year from the Eastern Wisconsin Conference.
In addition to her athletic abilities, she was elected to the Student Council four (4) years and in her senior year she served as its president, was the senior class vice president, the Editor in Chief of their high school year book for two (2) years, and to top that she graduated with honors and was chosen as the Validictorian of her class. She also loves to sing and was especially fond and proud of performing in their Swing Choir.
She has not let this disease slow her down as she is now getting ready and preparing for her freshman year at UW Madison, and as she would say "GO BADGERS". So I again ask you to sponsor a pledge for me as I run for Danielle and together we can fight and cure her disease. For all she has done for others, we now need to show our support for her.
