Pledge to make a difference for Tyler
I will once again be participating (14th year) in the Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children's Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 because I want to make a difference in the life of a child.
This year that child is Tyler Goodno who is a 9 year old fourth grader at Allenton Elementary School in the Slinger School District.
He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) in June of 2009 and will be receiving treatments at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee for the next three and one half (3 1/2) years and he needs our help.
Tyler is the oldest son of Stephanie and Dave Goodno and is a big brother to Kaylie 7, Connor 4, and Makena 2. He especially loves swimming and also enjoys going to waterparks and participating in other watersports such as tubing and jet skiing. He is involved in playing soccer, golf, baseball and watching video games, especially Star Wars.
In addition to the above sports, Tyler also likes watching the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, the Green Bay Packers and listening to Danny Gokey from American Idol.
I ask you to please consider making a pledge to sponsor me as I run the five (5) miles for Tyler and also to help me reach my pledge raising goal for him and all of the sick Children at the Hospital by making a tax deductable donation today.
Please know that your support will help Children's Hospital continue to provide the top-notch care kids like Tyler deserve. Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children's Hospital is the oldest run & walk in the state of Wisconsin and one of the largest combined 8K events in the United States. Because of generous donations from people like you, outstanding community support, corporate sponsorships and active pledge raising, this event has raised more than $10.3 million over the past 30 years.
In the event you do not wish to donate online, please forward your donation payable to "Children's Hospital" to me at 453 Winding Waters Way, De Pere, WI 54115 no later than Wednesday Ocotber 7th. Thanking you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
T. J. Sorensen
