Thanks for visiting Willie & Jakey’s fundraising page!
As you probably know, Willie has Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a high-functioning form of Autism, that helps make him the quirky, wacky, Ancient-Egypt-loving nut that he is.
And, sweet little Jacob (named for my dad), has a lower-functioning form of Autism. Although he’s a very happy, loving child, at age 5 ½, Jacob doesn’t yet talk and lives mainly in his own world.
We moved to Oregon almost 2 years ago and have found wonderful support here, including from Autism Society of Oregon (ASO). I've recently joined the Board of Directors of ASO in order to help other families struggling to find resources and support. ASO's biggest fundraiser of the year is the April Autism Walk-a-thon, and it would mean a great deal to all of us if you could make a donation to support ASO and the work it does - mostly using volunteers like me.
Dale, Willie, Jakey and I will be at Oaks Park walking around the loop if you'd like to join us on April 18th... but we appreciate whatever kind of support you want to give.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. (It had better be, because I’ve made donations to my friends using this site!) Autism Society of Oregon is a federal exempt non-profit organization 501 (c) (3). ASO's federal ID number is 93-0771249.
Also, Willie would want you to visit his blog at khanubis.blogspot.com/ and his YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/tobirates and his website at khanubis.weebly.com/ Whew!!
If you've made it all the way to this page, I've got to thank you so much, I really appreciate your time! Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
