Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Special Olympics Iowa Inc!  I know the picture is enough to make you think twice about donating.  However, this picture is nothing compared to the final plunge when we are all dressed up as super plunging super heros.  Last year I didn't have the white leggings.  This year I don't think I will get away with it. 

I know a lot of you already think I'm a little off my rocker, so I just wanted to confirm it.  However, I was able to drag one of the best fund raising volunteer coordinators I have ever met to help me with the event.  Rob Burditt has offered to assist me this year and make sure I come out of the water after each plunge.

For those that are unaware, Special Olympics Iowa is one of the only states that pays for all costs for athletes to compete in state events.  The athletes just need to get there.  Food and lodging are provided at no cost.  As most of you know these individuals are on a limited budget.  Therefore, many athletes would not be able to participate without this benefit.  This is why Special Olympics Iowa is able to have over 13,000 athletes registered to participate.
