I have been fortunate to serve as a trustee for the Connecticut chapter of The Nature Conservancy since 2010. Over those two years, I have been consistently impressed with TNC's ability to combine sound science and dedicated staff to achieve lasting victories for conservation.
This year I’m proud to be the captain of “Team Nature Conservancy” as we ride in New Haven’s Rock to Rock Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 21. If you'd like to join our (low key) riding team, let me know. We'll be riding a 23 mile course, starting at 9am in New Haven. I'd love to have you join us.
Having recently welcomed my first child into the world, I am more committed than ever to protecting our planet for future generations. So this year I am making a challenge grant: I will match, dollar for dollar up to $20,000, all contributions made to any member of “Team Nature Conservancy”.
Every donation will help the Conservancy work to conserve coastal habitats, restore marine ecosystems and ensure that both people and nature will enjoy our oceans for years to come.
I hope you will consider making a donation or joining our team as a rider. And please join us at the end of the ride for a Picnic for the Planet to celebrate the role the Sound and all our lands and waters play in feeding us.
Thank you for your support.
