Tom Jessup's Fundraising Page
On average, one law enforcement officer is killed somewhere in America nearly every other day. More than 57,000 officers are assaulted each year and about 17,000 are injured. Today, more than 870,000 sworn officers put their lives on the line for our protection each and every day.
Riding a bike for 250 miles will not stop officers from being killed, assaulted or injured; what it will do is honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice and give hope to those who continue to serve and protect. Nearly 1000 law enforcement officers make this ride annually to raise awareness and support. "I have taken part in this event for the last 5 years and to this day it is still one of the greatest highlights of my career." (Cpl. Tom Jessup - ACPD)
We didn't ask to be called heroes, but if that's the label placed upon us then we will do whatever is necessary to uphold that title.
Each rider is required to raise $1500 in order to participate in this worthwhile event. We use our own leave for training and the ride itself. We will also use our own monies for equipment and transportation.
Please give as much as you can to this incredible cause. You wont be disappointed.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
