Since my college days, the issues of the third world have been important to me.   I'm running in the Chicago Marathon next month as part of Team World Vision.  This will give me a chance to lend a hand to World Vision's work in developing countries while enjoying one of the world's great races.  

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like: clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
