PLEASE JOIN ME IN SUPPORTING BLUE FOR KIDS!
I'm running the Annapolis 10-miler and raising donations on behalf of BLUE for Kids, Inc. – a unique 501(c)(3) non-profit linking professional sports officials with underprivileged and sick children.

I first became acquainted with BLUE for Kids last year, and was immediately impressed with the concept of linking Major League Baseball umpires with kids during their weekly travel.  The BLUE for Kids children's hospital program, called Big League BLUE Reach, delivers the Build-A-Bear Workshop in-store experience to pediatric patients in hospitals across the country.  After coming to Baltimore's John Hopkins Hospital earlier this spring, the umpires will be visiting Fairfax Hospital in August (more information is below).

Your donation is used to purchase stuffed animals for children coping with serious illness or a lengthy hospital stay.  During hospital visits, the umpires offer kids the choice of a pre-stuffed animal as well as a choice of outfits for their new furry friend.

A donation by credit card here on my personal BLUE for Kids page is simple, fast, and secure. Just click the 'Give Now' button at the top to get started. Afterward, your name will appear in the list of contributors below. 

To make a donation by personal check, simply fill out the BLUE for Kids donation form and write my name as the Team BLUE Member you are supporting. Mail it along with your check to the address on the form (or drop it off with me). I will add your name to the list of contributors upon receipt. 

OFFICIAL MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL AND MVP LIST
When you donate for 3 stuffed animals ($100), you receive an Official Major League Baseball signed by one of the MLB umpires. You will also be added to the BLUE for Kids Most Valuable People (MVP) list.
