Bailey's Buddies

Hello Family & Friends!

It's that time of year again, our annual fundraising plea for the Autism Project of RI. This is our 5th year participating in the Imagine Walk, our little group has certainly grown over the years, and we are so grateful to the many family and friends who've supported us with this cause.

Bailey has participated in outpatient therapy since age 2 for SLP, OT, PT and Social Skills Programs. When I reflect on our journey and recall the days that we had therapy 4 days a week. The days that we were hoping we were on the right track...Just waiting to hear him speak more than a couple of words and tolerate the overstimulating world.

I wonder how we did it.

I believe with my whole heart in Early Intervention. We have so many people to thank for Bailey's progress over the years. Today we have an AWESOME 13 year old boy that is able to participate in community programs, inclusion classrooms and is often used as a role model for others. Bailey will always have struggles with anxiety, organization, challanges with social sitiuations, among other things. He will always have Aspergers.

So why The Autism Project of RI ?

The Autism Project has helped make many of Bailey's accomplishments possible. They offer wonderful programs that allow Bailey to work on those areas that will continue to be a challange for him. Bailey enjoys attending those programs, loves going to camp and has made long lasting friendships. Bailey attends Club Jr weekly and new this year Bailey has started a Teen Advisory Group. This group works on leadership skills, team building and public speaking. I truly believe that our journey through Autism has been positively impacted by the Autism Project, thanks to the support and friendships our family has gained by participating in these groups.

We are so proud of Bailey and know that many of these activities would not have been possible, but for the wonderful volunteers and staff of the Autism Project! We hope to see many of the same faces and would love to see new ones on April 29th! Please let me know if you will make it this year.

If you are unable to join us on April 29th and would like to donate. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

Lots of Love,

Toni, Dave, Bailey & Emily Goff <3
