After cheerleading at the finish line with my family for the last 5 years, I am testing the waters (literally and figuratively) and will be swimming in this year's Swim For Life fundraiser.

I have been training all summer and just hit my goal of 2 miles in the pool each day (as of August 5th) to prepare for the 1.4 mile swim in Cape Cod Bay.

There are 300+ swimmers and the swim will raise nearly $200,000 and benefits Helping Our Women, the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Outer Cape Health, The Provincetown Rescue Squad, The Lower Cape Ambulance, Soup Kitchen in Provincetown, The Academy of Art, Science and Technology at the Provincetown High School.
