We are the 438th. Military Police Detachment, currently located at 4 different Forward Operating Bases spread over three provinces here in Afghanistan. We conduct Law and Order operations at: Forward Operating Base Salerno, Forward Operating Base Sharana, Forward Operating Base Fenty and Forward Operating Base Ghazni. We are military policemen who have been assigned to these locations since last November of 2010.

We are organizing a Law Enforcement “Torch Run” here in conjunction with the Torch Run back home. Our troops will raise money and awareness for Special Olympics. This is something that we do at home every year in June and we are continuing the tradition here in the Far East. We will be actually running a 5K to carry the Flame of Hope for the Special Olympics Athletes. The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest single contributor to Special Olympics in the World. Special Olympics is “Law Enforcement’s charity of choice.” Will you help us reach our goal?
