Tracey Fairchild's Fundraising Page
As most of my close friends and family may know not only do I not like the cold, but I am confident that my doctors would be unhappy with me if they knew I was even considering to plunge. BUT...I have bigger reasons and I am not taking no for an answer!
This year I am plunging in honor of my niece Savannah who died June 5, 2008 at the age of five. Savannah had seizures from the time she was two. The seizures caused cognitive and social delays. My hope is to continue raising awareness for seizure disorders. Special Olympics provides a safe warm environment for children with special needs and their families. I am going to need a warm environment when I get out of the water!
Thank you for visiting my "Plunge" fundraising page. I'm collecting pledges from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in sports training and competition.
To reward your generosity, I'm going to join over 2,600 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
