Five years ago this month Si Sitterson, our dear friend, family member and loved one, took his own life.

Although five years have passed, the pain will never subside. We all sadly know what it feels like to lose a loved one from suicide, so let's join together to help raise awareness about suicide prevention to protect others.

His family and friends will be holding a five year memorial at Lake Toxaway, NC, on Saturday May 30, 2009, to honor and remember this tragic loss. At this time we will plant a tree with a plaque in his memory.

Our goal is to raise $2,000 for suicide awareness and prevention in memory of Si. Please help us reach our goal by donating and spreading this message. According to AFSP, a person dies by suicide about every 16 minutes in the United States. An attempt is estimated to be made once every minute.
