Dusty Rose's Fundraising Page
UPDATE - Thanks to the generosity and compassion of so many people, the $1,600 needed to pay Dusty Rose's medical bill at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of York has been raised! In fact, $2163.00 has been received by CPAA! And more good news, CPAA was just advised by Dr. Jennifer Todd at Lamb's Gap Animal Hospital that they are donating Dusty Rose's medical care until she can go to her foster home! Thank you everyone! If your donation was received after CPAA reached $1,600 in donations and you would like your donation returned, you may contact CPAA. If we do not hear from you, it will be placed into Dusty Rose's Fund to help with the medical care of other Harrisburg City animals rescued by CPAA or one of its member rescues. If you would like to make further donations to help the Harrisburg City dogs, they will go into Dusty Rose's Fund. The City of Harrisburg still has no contract in place with the Harrisburg Humane Society, so City dogs still need our help. Prior to rescuing Dusty Rose, CPAA rescued two other Harrisburg City dogs. One is a six-month old Pit Bull puppy, now named Felix. Felix was left to die tied to someone's porch. He was infected with the Parvo virus, a deadly virus if not treated in time. Felix was one of the lucky ones--thanks to CPAA, he spent three days at the Animal Emergency & Referral of York receiving round-the-clock care. Felix's medical bills were almost $3,000. Felix is doing well and has been adopted into a loving home. Another Pit Bull puppy, now named Owen, was found at the beginning of November freezing and almost starved to death on the porch of an abandoned house in Allison Hill. CPAA transported him to the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of York where he received life-saving care. Owen's medical bills are in excess of $2,500. If you like to help other Harrisburg City dogs like Owen and Felix, please donate to Dusty Rose's Fund. Thank you!
Dusty Rose, was rescued from the City of Harrisburg on December 31st. She was found in a dumpster enclosure with a prolapsed uterus. Several CPAA volunteers rescued her and took her to the Animal ER Hospital for surgery. Due to extreme swelling, she had to have a catheter placed in her. She had so much swelling that the vet doesn't think she was able to urinate for quite awhile. Imagine how much pain she must have been feeling.
Please help us to help Dusty Rose and other dogs and cats in the City of Harrisburg that have no place to go - many of whom are suffering. A donation in any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
