Tracy Noonan's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
By donating you can help Coaches across Continents have a greater impact and reach more children across Africa and the world. Coaches Across Continents is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization so in order for them to send coaches to carry out their humanitarian work they rely upon donations. In 2010 they will be running programs all across Africa in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia. In past years they have done work in India and they will be helping to rebuild in Haiti in the fall of 2010, and starting programs in South America in future years.
If you haven't done so already please visit my blog for even more information on my upcoming journey. http://sportingcommunities.edwardswan.com/?p=1710 I will be working for Coaches across Continents in Tanzania in early September. Not only are they providing valuable life lessons and opportunities for play to the youth in these impoverished regions of the world, but they also educate the local coaches, teachers, and volunteers to establish a structure within the community so that these programs can continue long after the Coaches Across Continents staff leaves. The program in Kigoma, Tanzania will be entering into it’s third year of the CAC three year “Hat Trick” initiative. If you watch the video on the side of this website I think it will help you to understand the mission of Coaches Across Continents. Also, please watch "The Girl Effect" http://www.girleffect.org/ to see why this work is so important. Pictures certainly speak louder than words in this case.
All contributions are greatly appreciated (and are tax deductible), but equally as important is spreading the word to other potential supporters. You may not be able to donate, but you may know someone who can! So please forward this link to anyone (friends, family members, teammates, businesses, corporations, etc) that you think might like to be involved.
PASS IT ON!
Thanks,
Tracy
