One of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody.
** 11/21/09 UPDATE - Enough money has been raised to build a new home for the girls!! Donations continue to be used for their immediate needs, including food and clothing. THANK YOU! **
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about One Home Many Hopes! A friend of mine helped to start this orphanage, and I've been moved to action and touched so deeply with how he and others have given their lives to these beautiful girls, once homeless and without hope.
In fact, I will be traveling to Kenya and volunteering for two weeks in December, but I'm not going there so I can feel good about flying around the world to hold babies.
My hope is to deliver personal messages from everyone who joins the cause toward helping them with their biggest physical need at this time - a proper home. I have committed to raising $5,000 for the girls before I leave on December 5th. Please join me in reaching this goal by either donating here or joining my team and volunteering to raise funds. Any amount will make a huge IMPACT in the lives of these girls.
For those in the Boston area, we are holding a fundraiser at
Timothy Craig Art Studio in the South End on Saturday, November 21st from 6-9pm. Timothy and his wife have graciously donated their studio and a percentage of their art sales that evening toward helping One Home Many Hopes. Directions and samples of his work are here:
www.timothycraigart.com.
I can't wait to show these girls how much they are cared for, even by complete strangers, because really, we are all just brothers and sisters.
Thank you for your help!
