"Over ten, under four."
Sincere thanks to all of you who supported my 2009 marathon run and helped to pass the word along! It was a truly inspiring experience for our family. You helped us to reach and surpass the $10,000 goal which was so "moving" and I finished in 3:53:31.
Charlie, being newly encouraged, is increasing his mileage and plans to run the Turkey Trot next week! You've helped us to make the miles count on several different levels and I really appreciate it.
We're looking forward to next year.
Thanks again,
Tracy November 2009

It’s hard to believe that Charlie is already ten!
In some ways, time has sprinted by. Yet when I think of all we’ve learned in the last decade, it seems so much longer. When he was a newborn in the NICU his beloved pediatrician told us not to worry because there would be a cure for CF in the next five years. Or, at least, new therapies would eliminate its fatal threat. That hasn’t happened- yet.
But we are inspired because we know how primed the situation is and how many potential breakthroughs are in the medical pipeline. CF is a disease with so much hope ad we think we’re close to a significant finding… as long as we can maintain the pace.
Because even when the economy slows, the disease doesn’t.
So I’m asking for your help. Through the Boomer Esiason Foundation, I have the opportunity to run the New York City Marathon on November 1st to raise money for CF. (Charlie is going to help me train- on one of his first runs he ran almost two miles!) I have a goal of $10,000 this year but I am hoping to surpass that as quickly as possible: I plan to run the marathon repeatedly until I’ve raised $50,000.
Please give whatever you can with the understanding that you're supporting the research that's crucial to treating and curing CF.
To those in the CF community, it’s a simple equation: Money buys science and science buys life.
I appreciate and thank you for your generosity.
Yours,
Tracy
