This is "Phase 3" of our efforts to raise funds to provide clean water to the rural poor.

We are a group of friends and followers of Jesus that want to challenge each other to give generously and help meet the physical and spiritual needs of people around the world.

We have partnered with Living Water International because we are passionate about its vision to bring clean water to the rural poor in the name of Jesus. We also like Living Water's approach which is to train, equip, and consult nationals, ensuring that the energy and resources contributed by volunteers and donors result in sustainable, participatory water systems that meet the long-term needs of communities. Living Water allows everyone in the community to use water from the wells regardless of faith or beliefs.

In Phase 1 of our fundraising efforts, we were able to raise enough funds to support two well rehabilitation projects in the Varanasi area in northern India. These areas had existing wells that had broken hand pumps or no hand pumps - so we were able to fund the projects to repair, replace & educate the impacted people on the use of their newly improved wells.

In Phase 2, our goal was to raise at least $15K in 2011 to fund a deep-well project in Africa. Praise God, we exceeded that goal and raised over $16,000 in 2011! The money raised will go towards a deep-well project in Zimbabwe that specifically benefits children.

For Phase 3, our goal is to raise at least $7K in 2012 to fund a shallow well project in a country yet to be determined. Please pray and partner with us!
