Although Dick and Rick Hoyt are unable to join us for this year's race, we have assembled of team of more than 40 runners pushing at least 20 children and young adults with disabilities.  In Team Hoyt spirit, Team Hoyt VB is bringing awareness that the disabled can be integrated into the most challenging able bodied activities.  

I will be running with my veteran, fellow Rock N Roller Angela West.  We ran the race together last year and had a blast.  With an iPod mounted on the running chair this year, we are sure to light up the course!

Team Hoyt VB will designate the funds received from this race to be used to support future involvement in competitive events, including taking these very special individual athletes to a destination road race in 2011.  Many of these young men and women have never been on an airplane, much less travelled.  Through your support, we hope to take more than 10 of them to a very special race next year (contact me for specifics).
