This year marks the 11th anniversary of The Children's Room, the largest organization in Massachusetts providing caring support to grieving children, teens and families. For the past nine years, I have been a volunteer facilitator with one of our teen groups, and for the past thre years, I have also been a volunteer facilitatorwith moms & dads who have experienced the death of a child.
Ifeel honored to be a part of this amazing community of caring people and am consistently inspired by the courage demonstrated by the children, teens, and adults that participate in our programs. Despite their losses, our families are able to join with each other to comfort, inspire, support, and strengthen one another.
This year, I am walking in memory of my dad - i miss him a lot! I also am walking in honor of the courageous families that come to The Children's Room.
