Trisha was a vibrant young woman full of life. She was a student and avid runner about to set out on a course of public service. As a tribute to her spirit and her desire to contribute towards the betterment of women & children, the Trisha Apte Memorial Fund was set up in her honor at her alma mater, Northwestern University.

At present, the Trisha Apte Memorial Fund provides a living stipend to Northwestern University students that spend their summer doing unpaid community service for the betterment of women & children, but as the scholarship fund grows, it will also provide partial scholarships to Northwestern University students that show an exemplary commitment to community service.
