Wow. I am tired. I have lots going on in my life right now: busy work and trying to expand our program while trying to funds to do so, getting our new house to par so it is more comfortable to live there (and trying to find the funds to do so), getting our newest property up to par so that we can rent it out (and trying to find the funds to do so), helping out our elderly neighbor, training to FBT parents (Mental Health's version of foster parents) and you know all that other fun things going on like seeing you, my friends and family and trying to enjoy life as a whole.
The point is I have thought about not riding this year so I can focus on some of these other important things in my life. What it is comes down to though, not riding is NOT an option for me.
I have been on the Board of Directors of Souther Tier AIDS Program for 6 years now, this month is my last meeting. STAP does wonderful things and STAP is about to do some even more wondrful things.
The only options is to forge ahead. With tough economic times I have seen people really come together and help one another. I have seen STAP benefit from people who continue to give what they can, when they can. So, this year, I am committed to riding 100 miles to help the people here in my community living with HIV/AIDS and support the program that is fighting a damn good fight. STAP is reahcing out to our community everyday educating people and supporting people and fight to prevent the further impact of HIV/AIDS and Hep. C. I could go on....
This year I will secure at least 200 individual donations of at least $10 each to raise at total of $2000.
I appreciate your help and your support. Remember I am tired and I need your help to motivate me to get out there everyday to training then get my butt on that bike 9/12/09.
