For anyone who knows me, you'll understand my love for Basset Hounds. They are very loveable dogs who loved to be loved. It has taken me a long time to get over the loss of my first basset, but I have been blessed to find Luke.

Luke ( aka "Gregory" on the NTBHR site) was adopted into our loving home on July 13th. From the horrible stories I have heard, he had it rough. He was on the run for a very long time, terribly under weight, and had even been shot with a dart gun. How anyone could do this is BEYOND me. He is the most loveable dog. Very sweet. I am forever grateful to the North Texas Basset Hound Resue and  to his foster parent for taking care of him.

Adopting Luke has been such a blessing. He has brought so much joy into my life. I thought I could never love a pet this much after losing Duke, but, instead, I find myself fortunate to have owned two of the most precious bassets in the world.
