For the last few years, I've contemplated asking people to donate to charity rather than get me gifts for Christmas. This year, I finally decided to do it. 

But it doesn't have to just be a substitute for a Christmas gift for me. That's too narrow a scope. You can donate just because you're feeling generous.

If you've reached this site and don't feel comfortable donating to the ACS (for whatever reason), over the Christmas break it wouldn't be a bad idea to donate to Toys for Tots, either. It's just about giving something.

I chose the ACS not because I have a personal cross to bear but because I don't know of anyone who hasn't been affected in some way by cancer. I figured that the best way to honor those people was to help organize a way to give back in some way.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
