Help out my team - Tyler's Angels!
Hi everyone,
My name is Tyler Wilson. I was born on October 6th, 2006 and live in Dublin, CA with my Mom and Dad, Kelly and Brad Wilson. In November 2007 I was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome. Despite this setback I am still a happy, upbeat little boy who is making a lot of progress in my therapy appointments. I have some awesome therapists who recently helped me learn to crawl for the first time! I am crawling all over the house now and finding new toys everywhere when they aren't looking, like my Dad's remote contols and my mom's shoes.
Some of my favorite things to do are eating, playing in the bath, getting tickled, putting things in my mouth and going for walks in my BOB stroller. Speaking of walks, I will be participating in my very first ASF Walk-A-Thon in Sacramento, CA on May 17th, 2008. I'll be joined by my family and some of my very close friends. It should be a lot of fun meeting other kids with AS and their families.
The reason I'm doing the Walk-A-Thon is to show my support and help raise money for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation. They are a great organization who's mission is to help kids like me with education, resources, support, and research for a cure. I wish everyone could join my team, Tyler's Angels, on May 17th, but I know Sacramento is a long ways away for some folks. I get tired just crawling across my bedroom floor as you can see in my video! However, there is a way you can still lend a hand. I have committed to raising $5000 to benefit ASF and you can help me reach that goal by using my webpage to make a monetary donation. It's really easy, just click on the Sponsor Me Now tab and you can do it all online. Plus any money you give is tax deductible, how cool is that!
For all of you interested in joining the team for our walk just click below and register under our team and my mom will follow-up with more details. I really appreciate your support and will promise to continue to work as hard as I can to make you all proud of me.
Love, Tyler
